Delete your account in the app

The fastest way to delete your account is directly in the app:

• Open the Bet App and sign in.
• Go to Profile.
• Tap Delete Account and confirm.

You’ll be asked to re-enter your password to confirm it’s really you. Once confirmed, deletion begins immediately.

Request deletion by email

If you can no longer access the app, you can request account and data deletion by emailing us at service@betonyouapp.com from the email address on your account. Please include your account email or username so we can locate your account. To protect your account, we confirm that you control it — for example, that the request comes from your registered email address — before deleting anything, so no one can delete another person’s data. We process verified requests within 30 days.

Delete specific data without closing your account

You don’t have to delete your whole account to remove specific data. While signed in to the app, you can:

• Remove a saved payment method.
• Remove support contacts (“In Your Corner”) and Anchors.
• Remove or replace your profile picture.
• Remove friends.

To request deletion of other specific data while keeping your account, email service@betonyouapp.com from your registered email address. As above, we confirm that you control the account before deleting anything. The retention note below also applies to any data we are legally required to keep.

What is deleted

When your account is deleted, we delete or anonymize your personal information, including:

• Your name/username, email address, and phone number (anonymized).
• Your sign-in credentials (your authentication account is deleted).
• Your saved support contacts (“In Your Corner”) and Anchors.
• Your profile picture.

Your saved payment method details are held by our payment processor and are removed in accordance with their data-retention and payment-industry requirements; Bet App does not store your full card number.

What is retained, and why

For legal, tax, regulatory, and dispute-resolution purposes, we retain a record of commitments and transactions for a minimum of seven (7) years after account deletion. These records are anonymized — they can no longer be connected to your identity. This is a standard financial record-keeping obligation. Certain email opt-out (unsubscribe) records are also retained indefinitely so that we can continue to honor those opt-outs.

Download your data first

If you’d like a copy of your information before deleting, open the app and use Profile > Request My Data to export all of your data as a portable JSON file. Deletion is permanent and cannot be undone, so we recommend exporting first if you want a record.
